How DevSheets collects, uses, and protects your data.

This Privacy Policy explains what information DevSheets collects, how we use it, and the choices you have. By using DevSheets, you agree to the practices described below.
Information we collect
- Account information. DevSheets lets you sign in with GitHub or Google. When you do, we receive your name, email address, and profile picture from that provider. We never receive your password.
- Learning progress. When you are signed in, we store the items you mark as known and the sheets you favorite, so we can show your progress on your dashboard.
- Usage data. We collect anonymous usage data such as pages viewed, sheet view counts, browser type, and approximate location, to understand how the site is used and to improve it.
- Cookies. We use cookies to keep you signed in and to measure usage. See Cookies and analytics below.
How we use your information
- Provide and maintain the service, including signing you in and saving your progress.
- Remember your preferences, favorites, and learning progress.
- Measure and improve site performance and content.
- Keep DevSheets secure and prevent abuse.
Cookies and analytics
DevSheets uses a small number of cookies. Essential cookies keep you signed in during a session. For analytics, we use Google Analytics and Vercel Analytics to measure traffic and usage. Google Analytics may set cookies on your device. You can limit or block cookies through your browser settings, or opt out of Google Analytics using the tools Google provides.
Third-party services
- GitHub and Google, for sign-in.
- Google Analytics, for usage measurement.
- Vercel, for hosting and analytics.
Each of these providers processes data under its own privacy policy.
How we share information
We do not sell your personal information. We share data only with the service providers listed above, as needed to run DevSheets, or when required by law.
Data retention
We keep your account data and learning progress for as long as your account is active. If you ask us to delete your account, we remove your personal data and saved progress.
Your rights
You can request access to, correction of, or deletion of your personal data at any time. Depending on where you live, you may have additional rights under laws such as the GDPR or the CCPA. To make a request, contact us.
Data security
We use reasonable, industry-standard measures to protect your data. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, so we cannot guarantee absolute security.
Children's privacy
DevSheets is not directed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal data from them.
Changes to this policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we do, we will revise the date shown at the top of this page.
